Key Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging and dynamic music lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4 (with the possibility of Key Stage 5)
Planning and preparing lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities
Encouraging and nurturing students' musical talents and interests
Assessing and providing feedback on student progress and achievements
Contributing to extracurricular activities, including school concerts and performances
Working closely with colleagues within the department to develop and improve the music curriculum
Requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in Music or related subject
Proven experience in teaching music at secondary school level
A passion for music and the ability to inspire students
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
A DBS on the update service or the willingness to purchase a new one.
Desirable:
Experience in teaching A-level music or music technology
Ability to play and teach multiple instruments
Knowledge of music production and digital music tools
