What you’ll be doing:
- Managing end-to-end forwarding activities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Following strict SOPs and KPIs to maintain compliance.
- Providing excellent customer service, handling clearances, quotes, shipments, and invoicing.
- Coordinating with internal and external customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Updating invoicing, job costing, and milestone tracking within required timeframes.
- Processing customs entries and managing cost control measures.
- Assisting senior forwarders, supervisors, and management as needed.
- Maintaining compliance with CAA, TAPA, HMRC, GDP, and IATA regulations.
- Ensuring accurate reporting and resolving queries from customers and suppliers.
- Supporting sales and management with customer development initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
- GCSEs or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a business-related field.
- Strong customer service background with proven operational experience.
- Understanding of international transport (Air, Sea, Road) and customs processes.
- Financial awareness and cost control understanding.
- IT proficiency, particularly in transport sector systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, as required.
