Location: Birmingham office (projects across the Midlands)

Salary: Up to £50,000 + company car or car allowance (£5,000)

WRG is supporting a fire safety consultancy who operate across the UK, the business is looking to appoint an experienced and competent Fire Safety Consultant to cover their project portfolio across the Midlands and be part of the senior management team based from our clients Birmingham office.

Our client oversees a diverse portfolio of projects from residential, and commercial up to industrial, heritage and education. It is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fire safety professional to join a fire consultancy with exciting growth plans for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fire risk assessments in accordance with current fire safety regulations and provide suitable recommendations for remedial actions.
  • Carry out retrospective fire strategies on a range of projects.
  • Produce clear and concise fire safety reports.
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to schedule appointments and discuss assessment findings.
  • Provide fire safety advice and guidance to clients to help them meet their legal requirements.
  • Conduct fire safety training sessions for clients and their employees.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Attend client meetings as required.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Fire or equivalent.
  • Membership to IFE or IFSM (desirable).
  • Level 4 qualification in fire design (desirable).
  • 2 - 3 years proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments and other fire safety services.
  • Knowledge of current fire safety regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential fire hazards.
  • Full UK driving license.
