We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join a team at one of the trusts in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with substantial experience to contribute to the care and rehabilitation of patients within a supportive and dynamic team environment. The trust offers a comprehensive range of mental health, community, and learning disability services.

Please note that the trust uses only Direct Engagement mode of payment.

Job Description:

  • Provide an efficiently administered and professionally competent Occupational Therapy service for people who use Assertive Outreach Team Services.
  • Manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in a range of settings.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of OT services within a designated team, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  • Regularly supervise OT students on placement and contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust's OT service.

Skills Required:

  • Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating a range of conditions.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective rehabilitation and discharge plans.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Evidence of recent continuing professional development (CPD) and the ability to reflect on experiences.
  • Experience with community-based pathways is advantageous.
