Special Needs School Data/Attendance OfficerBased in Moseley, Birmingham£16-£17ph Your new companyA SEN school in South Birmingham is looking to appoint a Data/Attendance Officer to support the school's 3 sites. The role is to support the school whilst they try and appoint a permanent option. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8am - 4pm. Looking for an immediate start.Your new roleThe role will be to oversee the day-to-day attendance registration for all pupils and young people and to provide SIMS management, information and reports. The role will entail overseeing the day-to-day attendance registration for the whole school, investigating absences on a daily basis and issuing marks on a weekly basis to ensure absences are correctly coded and to monitor absence figures and liaise with SLT and DSLs as appropriate. You will also produce attendance reports and management data for senior leadership. You will also support the office with general admin duties.The data side of the role will include working with Senior Leadership Team in developing and maintaining data tracking and analysis systems to positively impact on all aspects of student progress, leading the development and maintenance of the Management Information System (MIS), currently SIMS, across the school - ensuring all data is up to date, accurate and available. You will also produce clear, concise, accurate information to support the SLT in raising standards of performance across the school and managing all aspects of the schools MIS systems.What you'll need to succeedYou will need to have a high level of communication and IT skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this.
