GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Carpentry and Multiskills to our public sector client based in Solihull. The Lecturer in Carpentry and Multiskills will teach, train and assess students working across a range of Construction and related qualifications.

Main Duties of the Lecturer in Carpentry and Multiskills:

Teach a range of programmes within Construction and act as a Course Tutor
Take a Course Coordinator role for agreed programmes
Support student induction and enrolment with the Construction school
Assist in the development of the curriculum and learning materials - this will include the College's virtual offer
Develop external contacts to promote industry-based work including work placements

Role Requirements:

Level 2 qualification in Carpentry
Hold a level Teaching Qualification or be willing to work towards
Level 3 Assessor Award (or equivalent)
Experience of working in the Construction industry with a focus on Carpentry and Joinery as well as Multiple Trades
Proven experience of teaching or training/mentoring
