Carter Rolan Group are recruiting for a full time Group Payroll Officer (12 months FTC to permanent) - they will put you on various training/courses to prove their intention to make the role permanent. This Group Payroll Officer is to work for a best in class manufacturing business in the Coleshill, B46, Birmingham area. This role is paying £33,000 - £37,000 per annum dependant on experience. Some hybrid working may be allowed once the candidate has settled into the role (3-6 months) depending on performance.
Your new Group Payroll Officer role
You will be supporting the Payroll Manager to process monthly payroll for over 1000 employees and dealing with day to day payroll enquiries on MS Dynamics and another bespoke system.
What you will need to succeed in this Group Payroll Officer role
- An astute and capable payroll professional
- Must be good on excel - excel/data manipulation is key
- Strong payroll experience working for a large organisation
- Used to working in a busy working environment
- Adept at meeting tight deadlines
- A will do attitude
- 39 hours per week - Half day every Friday, 1pm finish, Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm (some hybrid/flexible working will be allowed after the candidate has embedded into the role/organisation, passed probation)
- Working for a large manufacturing business, turning over in excess of £100m+
- Part of a small payroll function (x3) and the wider finance function (team of circa 30)
- 12 months FTC contract to permanent (95-99%) it will go permanent they will put the candidate on training and development to highlight and give confidence of their intention to turn the role perm.
- Pension 3% employee contribution
- Holidays 25 days + bank holidays,
- Probation policy, 3 months
- Sick pay policy 1 months full pay then SSP (they will be paying you as employee)
- Maternity pay policy currently two weeks full pay then SMP, but their enhanced package is being signed off next week (this will change to 4 months full pay and 2 months pay, then SMP) , qualification period 2 years applies (which is industry standard usually)
- Pay review etc - Annually in April
