We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst in Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, contributing to the smooth operation of the department.

Description

  • Monitor Payroll data collection process and adhere to deadlines to facilitate payroll processing
  • Maintain up-to-date records of employee information for payroll purposes
  • Liaise with HR and finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Support the creation of SmartTime (Kronos T&A) data and TRS data from sites to ensure a smooth transfer to payroll data to live payroll
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
  • Checking and reconciling site payroll reports
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for payroll-related projects and initiatives
  • Handle employee inquiries about payroll
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes

Profile

A successful Payroll Analyst should have:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of payroll software
  • Understanding of end-to-end payroll
  • Confident user in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • A degree in finance, accounting or a related field
  • Familiarity with payroll laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self motivated and positive with a 'can do' attitude
