About the Role:

  • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join our team on a locum basis within the MSK Service, Adults & Specialist Rehabilitation Division. The role will involve supporting the delivery of high-quality care to both new and follow-up patients across multiple sites in Birmingham. This is a locum position, with an initial 12-week contract, and the possibility of extension depending on service needs.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with a focus on assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients attending MSK clinics.
  • Support a varied caseload including both new and follow-up patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the MSK team to develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure that all clinical guidelines and safety protocols are followed.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
  • Significant experience in Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy.
  • Strong knowledge of MSK conditions and treatment strategies.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience in a clinic or rehabilitation setting is desirable.
  • Able to manage a varied caseload and prioritise tasks effectively.
