P6 Planner - Water Industry
Location: Midlands (Would consider options nationwdie)

Anderselite is currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier One Water Contractor for an experienced P6 Planner. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to contribute to major water infrastructure projects.

Role Summary

As a P6 Planner, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of complex water infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Scheduling and Planning:

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.

Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers and engineers.

Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

Track project progress against the schedule and provide regular updates.

Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.

Generate and distribute weekly/monthly progress reports.

Conduct project reviews and status meetings with stakeholders.

Resource Allocation and Management:

Ensure optimal allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials.

Identify resource constraints and propose solutions for optimization.

Risk and Issue Management:

Identify and mitigate risks affecting the project schedule.

Monitor and resolve scheduling issues in collaboration with management.

Cost Control:

Assist in tracking project costs in relation to the schedule and budget.

Work with project managers to forecast potential cost overruns.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Ensure clear communication of scheduling information across teams.

Change Management:

Monitor and record changes to project schedules.

Adjust schedules to reflect changes in scope, resources, or timelines.

Experience Required

Previous experience as a Planner/Scheduler or in a Project Management role.

Background in construction, engineering, oil & gas, or large infrastructure projects preferred.

Experience working with and interpreting large sets of data and schedules.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Project Management methodologies/tools.

Understanding of NEC3 contracts, Critical Path Method (CPM), and Earned Value Management (EVM).

Experience in Project Controls and resource allocation strategies.

Qualifications

Essential:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.

Desirable:

Project management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Primavera P6 Certification.
