They work closely with housebuilders and developers to navigate the complexities of the planning system, ensuring efficient project delivery. Position Summary
The Planning Delivery Manager will oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications across various regions. This includes managing external consultants, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining communication with internal and regional teams. The role requires the management of budgets, coordination of multi-disciplinary reports, and the use of planning software to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Business and Internal Collaboration:

  • Attend pre-application meetings with local planning authorities and external consultants.
  • Actively manage planning application preparation using project management tools and promote their effective use among consultants.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning delivery.

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Source and appoint consultants, ensuring scopes of work align with budgets and project needs.
  • Coordinate and review multi-disciplinary reports to create cohesive planning submissions.
  • Ensure timely and legally robust submission of planning applications, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
  • Support post-planning processes, including negotiating planning conditions and Section 106 agreements.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification.
  • Experience in housebuilding, planning, or land promotion.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects using structured processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
