Aspire People are currently working alongside a Primary School in the Harborne area of Birmingham to find an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team in Feb half term in 2025 .This position will involve working with a young child with SEND needs. This role is in a mainstream class but someone with SEND Experience would be ideal. This role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm.
Requirements Of Applicant
* Experienced/confident supporting children with challenging behaviour
* Comfortable providing personal care where required
* Able to adapt to the pupils varied moods
* Available full time until July 2024
Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Working 1:1 with a SEND Pupil
* Create a safe learning environment for the pupil and other pupils in the class
* Ensure the child remains focused on lesson plans
* Tailor support methods based off the mood of the child on each day
* Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines
