Hays Education are currently working with a Primary School in the North of Birmingham who are looking for a passionate and vibrant SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a large primary school in the North of Birmingham. The school we are working with is warm, welcoming and very supportive. They are looking to make an addition to their diverse and inclusive primary school located in North Birmingham. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential. Their dedicated team of educators works collaboratively to create a supportive and engaging learning experience for all their students.


Your new role :

This rewarding role is full-time, which will start immediately and will involve you working alongside the class teacher and SENDCO supporting children with special educational needs in the resource-based unit. You will be expected to adapt resources to support the children to ensure that they reach their potential in all subjects and liaise with the SENCO and other professionals regarding educational health plans and pupils' progress.


What you'll need to succeed :

To be successful with us, you will need to hold relevant qualifications to support children in a primary school, have previous experience with working children who have special educational needs, be adaptable to support the child's needs and have effective behaviour management. You will also be a good team player, have a good understanding and knowledge of the National Curriculum. In addition to this, we will require two satisfactory references to cover a two-year period.
