The Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly driven procurement professional, ideally with robust indirect/services experience and international exposure, who can bring a positive and proactive approach to the business, collaborating with, influencing and challenging colleagues and suppliers to drive value and standards for the OASIS Group.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset with the ability to spot opportunity for improvement and build and execute strategies to deliver. They will create, implement and maintain a procurement strategy that will deliver regional and corporate objectives. They will be responsible for developing a category management strategy, leading tenders and negotiations, managing supplier relationships, and influencing colleagues.
This is a highly visible role, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real difference to the Groups performance.

Applicant must be located near one of our site locations in Birmingham or Swords, Dublin.



Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement activities for the entire source to contract process including strategy creation, tendering, supplier selection, contracting and implementation, and ongoing contract and supplier management activities.
  • Ensure vendor adherence to all group policies, and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Identify and proactively manage supply risk and develop strategies to mitigate.
  • Develop category management strategies, in collaboration with department heads, to drive value in the supply chain, deliver department requirements, and raise vendor service level.
  • Lead the commercial relationship for all suppliers, and hold responsiblity for the on-boarding, off-boarding and contract renewal of suppliers.
  • Work with major suppliers to discover and exploit opportunities for continuous improvement, performance improvement, savings, and other efficiencies.


Candidate Requirements
  • Demonstrable depth of procurement experience, ideally in indirect or services procurement, with an ability to flex between different categories.
  • Experience of international contracts desirable.
  • Academic background (Bachelor) preferred, ideally in business administration, finance and or procurement.
  • MCIPS would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to learn and become the go-to category expert for their categories, including sourcing and evaluating new suppliers and services.
  • Strong analytical skills, coupled with good business understanding and the ability to proactively identify new opportunities, building organisational commitment to act on these
  • Equally comfortable creating strategies, analysing complex information, and working with suppliers and colleagues.
  • A strong work ethic. Exhibits a can-do mentality, pragmatic, flexible, drives for excellent results, strong delivery focus, willing to go the extra mile.
  • A strong communicator and matrix team builder, that can influence with fact-based solution-focused presentations and proposals, incorporating the best ideas from others. Leads by example, in a transparent and friendly manner.
  • A highly organised self-starter, who can manage their own time, manage stakeholders, and track progress and actions effectively, always with objectives in mind.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel / Access / PP etc.)
  • Full driving licence required, and willingness to travel to OASIS and supplier sites as required.
