My leading cost management, building surveying and project management client is looking for an experienced Technical and Quality Inspector to join their team in Birmingham. As a Technical and Quality Inspector, you will also be overseeing passive fire protection systems and fire door repairs within large projects such as hospitals.

With a strong pipeline of work and presence in both London and Birmingham, my client has won a significant amount of projects and therefore are growing their team to assist with their delivery. They work in a variety of sectors and are committed to deliver high-quality services to their clients. As such, they are keen to welcome a Technical/ Quality Inspector who demonstrates this commitment to excellence.

Requirements:

Ideally chartered in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent) - Non chartered candidates will be considered depending on their experience
Proven experience in passive fire protection and fire door repairs
In depth knowledge of fire safety standards and building codes
Confident in conducting site inspections
Strong team player and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to travel to sites as needed
Good IT Skills

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough site inspections, liaising with all stakeholders
Issue compliance certificates and maintain detailed records
Monitor work quality and adherence to standards
Assist in developing training programmes on fire safety standards
Interrogate others document management portals - such as BIM360, Business Collaborator, 4P'
