My leading cost management, building surveying and project management client is looking for an experienced Technical and Quality Inspector to join their team in Birmingham. As a Technical and Quality Inspector, you will also be overseeing passive fire protection systems and fire door repairs within large projects such as hospitals.

With a strong pipeline of work and presence in both London and Birmingham, my client has won a significant amount of projects and therefore are growing their team to assist with their delivery. They work in a variety of sectors and are committed to deliver high-quality services to their clients. As such, they are keen to welcome a Technical/ Quality Inspector who demonstrates this commitment to excellence.

Requirements:

  • Ideally chartered in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent) - Non chartered candidates will be considered depending on their experience
  • Proven experience in passive fire protection and fire door repairs
  • In depth knowledge of fire safety standards and building codes
  • Confident in conducting site inspections
  • Strong team player and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel to sites as needed
  • Good IT Skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough site inspections, liaising with all stakeholders
  • Issue compliance certificates and maintain detailed records
  • Monitor work quality and adherence to standards
  • Assist in developing training programmes on fire safety standards
  • Interrogate others document management portals - such as BIM360, Business Collaborator, 4P'
