Your new companyYou will be joining a high-profile main contractor who are looking to appoint an Operations Director to join their senior leadership team. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong order book and their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader within the industry. This is a permanent position based in the Birmingham area.Your new roleAs Operations Director, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Leading and managing operations across multidisciplinary (design, operations, delivery and engineering) teams
- Ensuring HSE policies are embedded into daily operations
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress and performance
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure operational efficiency
- Delivering to operational and budgetary associated targets
- Building, developing and leading a high-performing team.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will have:
- Extensive experience in senior operational management within heavy civils, ideally in the water sector
- Strong strategic planning and implementation abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage projects from inception through to completion
- Proven successful track record of leading multidisciplinary teams.
