NMS Recruit is seeking an experienced Technical Field Authority specialising in Turbomachinery to collaborate with a rotating equipment expert. The role is based in the UK, with a large proportion of time at client facilities either assessing potential workscopes or managing live projects.

Responsibilities
Assessment of prospective TS job opportunities and development of detailed workscope specifications. Determining resource skills required and an outline project timeline
Liaison with responsible Area Sales Engineer or Customer Support Engineer to allow Sales team members to enter TS prospect information into Sales Force
Liaison with TS Project Manager to support creation of the tender cost make-up by the TS Estimator for target projects
Preparation of site equipment required to complete the defined workscope including lifting equipment & accessories, tooling and measurement equipment.
Direct supervision of project field service personnel and associated subcontractors involved in site initial dismantling, inspection and re-assembly activities. Daily health & safety briefing, task assignment, time recording and logging inspection records
Leading site team with hands-on involvement in inspection work and scope execution.
Daily liaison with client representative during project execution and submission of appropriate reports and inspection documentation
Providing technical recommendations to the client representative where inspection findings indicate that additional or alternate workscopes may be required
Liaison with TS Project Manager in control of any offsite subvendors involved in equipment/tooling supply, parts reclamation and parts supply
Daily liaison with TS Project Manager to advise progress, findings, problems and potential issues, with a view to TS Project Manager mitigating possible program impacts
Supervision of instrumentation personnel required to re-instate control equipment in preparation for plant start-up or re-commissioning
Supervision of equipment start-up / re-commissioning program
Direct supervision of workshop personnel assigned to the specific TS project involved including daily work briefing, inspection & rebuild approval
Liaison with TS Project Manager to support completion all site and workshop reports, QA pack and recommended spares lists

Experience
Previous experience in TFA or similar hands-on Field Supervisory role involving client and site team management
Expert knowledge of turbo services steam turbine or multistage compression equipment including equipment dismantling, repair, re-assembly and re-commissioning
Excellent attention to detail
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Proficient user of Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project to support work prep, reporting, data recording and program management
