Associate Planner

Anderselite is recruiting on behalf of a leading real estate services firm in Birmingham. We are seeking an experienced Associate Planner to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a commercially minded planning professional who is passionate about delivering successful outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on planning strategies and the likelihood of obtaining planning consent.
• Conduct research and produce high-quality client reports.
• Manage and lead project teams, ensuring smooth and timely project delivery.
• Prepare and submit planning applications, including Planning Statements and Statements of Community Involvement.
• Negotiate planning conditions and obligations.
• Prepare representations for local plans and policy consultations.
• Research and submit planning appeals where necessary.
• Support senior staff with planning inquiries, including preparing evidence.
• Contribute to business development through tender proposals and client engagement.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Key Requirements:

• Strong academic background.
• Chartered Member of the RTPI.
• At least 6 years of professional planning experience (consultancy experience preferred but not essential).
• Passion for planning and a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
