SF Recruitment is seeking a buyer for a leading manufacturing business, offering a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum.
The role involves managing direct spend and overseeing a commodity group, providing an opportunity for career growth in procurement.
Primary responsibilities include implementing strategic procurement, managing tactical activities, and overseeing departmental KPIs and supplier development planning.
Candidates should have demonstrable purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing, and CIPS qualification or progress towards it is desirable.
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing.

Primary Responsibilities:-Research & deliver the implementation of overall Strategic Procurement for the business-Manage tactical procurement activities with daily routines and deadlines installed and adhered to.-Manage departmental KPIs and improvement targets-Manage supplier development planning with key supplier groups-Manage ongoing cost down program(s) and initiatives-Promote and deliver continuous improvement initiatives-Monitors suppler quality, initiating containment activity and agreeing sustainable corrective action with suppliers-Evaluate supplier performance on regular basis, putting development plans in place and validate/approve all major price increasesSkillset Requirements:-Demonstrable purchasing experience , manufacturing desirable but not essential
