Your new companyYou will be joining an established multi-utility contractor based in the Birmingham area. This multi-accredited main contractor specialises in delivering infrastructure solutions across the water, gas and power sectors, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. With an ongoing series of contracts as well as a major framework win, they are looking to onboard an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office.

Your new roleAs Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple large complex data requirements/reconciliations and providing any support materials
  • Attending client meetings with other key stakeholders across the business
  • Resolving queries from internal and external customers within specified timescales
  • Ensuring debt collection activity is monitored and in line with customer payment terms
  • Ensuring any complaints are investigated and resolved within agreed timescales
  • Working closely with the commercial team, including the commercial manager.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Previous experience in debt collection and managing senior stakeholders within commercial strategic energy debt
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence.
