Our client, a leading consultancy firm in Birmingham, is seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The role involves managing costs, contracts, and providing detailed cost analyses from project inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets.
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Perform risk assessments and offer cost-related advice to clients.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee post-contract services, including cost control, valuation of work, and final accounts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered status with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
