Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to support our project teams in managing costs, contracts, and ensuring the financial success of our projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, ranging from new builds to refurbishments, and will play a key role in helping us deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Tendering: Support the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, helping to secure competitive and profitable contracts.
  • Valuations: Conduct regular site valuations to assess work progress and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Contract Administration: Assist in managing contracts, including preparing variations, assessing claims, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Procurement: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, negotiating favorable terms where possible.
  • Project Support: Provide support to senior QS staff in all aspects of project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management, highlighting key issues and risks.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the construction industry, focusing on new builds and refurbishments.
  • Education: A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients.
