As they expand their operations, they are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their Birmingham-based team.

Job Description:
We are looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor, on behalf of our client, with a passion for civil engineering and highways schemes. You will play a pivotal role in managing all costs related to their highways projects, ensuring they maintain high standards and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing cost estimates and budgets for highways schemes.
Monitoring and controlling project expenditure.
Conducting risk, value management, and cost control.
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Administering NEC contracts and resolving any contractual issues.
Liaising with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Preparing and analysing cost reports.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in Quantity Surveying, ideally within civil engineering or highways schemes.
Education: Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Skills: Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, excellent analytical and numerical skills, and proficiency in relevant software.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
