We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Repairs and Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Birmingham. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of property maintenance and repair requests, acting as the main point of contact between tenants, landlords, contractors, and internal teams.Key Responsibilities:• Managing Repairs & Maintenance Requests - Logging, tracking, and coordinating timely resolutions for all maintenance issues.• Liaising with Tenants & Landlords - Keeping all parties informed on maintenance updates and expected timelines.• Coordinating Contractors - Assigning work orders, obtaining quotes, and ensuring quality service delivery.• Ensuring Compliance & Safety - Overseeing maintenance work to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including gas safety, electrical safety, and other legal requirements.• Budget & Cost Control - Approving and monitoring repair costs to ensure they remain within budget.• Record Keeping & Administration - Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities and ensuring proper documentation.• Emergency Repairs Handling - Managing urgent maintenance issues and coordinating swift resolutions when needed.Skills & Experience Required:• Experience in Property Management, Maintenance Coordination, or Facilities Management is preferred.• Strong Organizational Skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently.• Excellent Communication & Negotiation Skills - Confident in dealing with tenants, landlords, and contractors.• Problem-Solving Ability - Proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues.• Knowledge of Property Compliance & Legislation (e.g., gas safety, electrical checks, EPCs) is desirable.• IT Proficiency - Comfortable using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Why Join Us?• Competitive salary based on experience.• A dynamic and supportive working environment.• Opportunities for professional growth and career progression.If you have the skills and experience required for this role, we would love to hear from you.
