My client is a Geotechnical ground engineering company working on housing sites to solve clients subsidence issues with their cost effective, time efficient and environmentally friendly solutions. My client is driving sales throughout the company across a multitude of sectors growing from strength to strength.

About the Role

You will need to be a people-oriented, technically-minded person who enjoys providing technical solutions, driving sales for the business, and growing existing relationships/ cultivating new relationships.

Solid communication skills and experience in the delivery of advanced ground improvement methods are desirable as you will be working with the client, supported by technical experts. You'll enjoy working to targets and tight timelines and take pride in delivering high-quality technical services and solutions to your clients.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development alongside the Groundworks and Housing sector.
  • Relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or surveying sectors (BSc, MSc, OND, HND, Degree, etc.)
  • Knowledge of grouting in the ground, structural support, void filling, slab lifting, water management, and subsidence problems.
  • Proven sales experience and account management skills in the construction sector.
  • Ability to regularly listen, communicate, and collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and work towards joint solutions.
  • Experience in client-facing roles with evident client care skills
  • Experience using client relationship management (CRM) or other account management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with virtual technology operating systems.
  • A full driving licence.

Duties:

  • Qualify and maintain a pipeline of projects for sales in the area.
  • Undertake online and in-person site visits as required.
  • Work alongside the team to produce solutions for the clients.
  • Interpret site investigation data to assist with the production of detailed treatment designs.
  • Prepare pricing and quotations in accordance with company policies and KPIs.
  • Negotiate contract terms
  • Manage planned and proactive follow-ups with new clients and all designs and quotations issued.
  • Responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring client needs are met, and driving additional business.
  • Input and maintain accurate data into company systems in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all orders received are ready for scheduling and delivery as quickly as possible.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and business executives.
  • React effectively to client needs and ensure solutions are delivered promptly and in an efficient manner.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services to existing and new clients.
  • Support operations and delivery by working closely with our Operations Director and Contracts Managers to maintain strong client relationships throughout the duration of the works
  • Ensure project deadlines and budgets are met, and communicate and seek approval for any changes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time and meet client needs.
  • Contribute to sales process development.
