Business Development Manager - Adult Social Care

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a leading organisation, with a strong focus on developing new services, driving quality, and ensuring financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in the expansion of our client's services, working across departments to ensure smooth service delivery, rapid void fill, and the successful development of new placements. You will also be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategic plans, working closely with Management/Senior Management Teams.

  • Reviewing and updating development procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Monitoring the progression of new services, from initial referral through to successful placement.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to address voids and ensure timely placements.
  • Driving quality and financial viability of services, ensuring all services meet our standards and exceed customer expectations.
  • Managing the operational and financial aspects of new services, ensuring effective budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Contributing to bids, tenders, and business development initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders and agencies.
  • Leading and mentoring a team, driving performance and professional growth.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in business development, operations management, or a similar role within social care.
  • Strong understanding of service delivery, financial management, and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Health and Social Care Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
