Our client is a well-established Not For Profit organisation with over 4000 employees. They are firmly rooted in Birmingham, with a focus on community development and education.
Description
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Transactional processing: Purchase ledger - high volume, sales ledger, receipts & Payments
- Purchase ledger maintenance: BACS payments, reconciliations, debit balances, supplier account creation
- Sales ledger maintenance: Invoice management, debt chasing
- Bank account maintenance: reconciliation, filing, administration, payment runs
- Finance systems: creation of accounts, resolve queries
- Other duties: from credit card queries to ad hoc support to colleagues
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Good working knowledge of accounting processes
- Experience in a similar role
- Comfortable with working on a largely transactional role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software (ideally familiar with systems such as Sage 50, Oracle, PSF or SAP and be an advanced user of Excel)
- You will be reliable, accurate and willing to get stuck in as part of a collaborative and highly supportive team
- Excellent numerical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Offer
- Monday - Friday - working from home 4 days per week
- 37 hours per week - working hours to suit you
- £24,500 per annum
