Are you an experienced Maths Teacher looking for work in Birmingham?
Winner Education are seeking a qualified Maths teacher for a secondary school in Central Birmingham. This role is part time, 4 days per week, starting after the Easter holidays and will be long term until the end of the academic year, you must be a fully qualified Maths Teacher.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Curriculum Lead to ensure the curriculum is up to date and meets the needs of the students
- Conduct appropriate lesson planning
- Adapt lessons to suit the needs of children
- Create a stimulating learning environment
- Support KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Conduct assessments and progress reports for individual pupils
- Ensure pupils are meeting set targets
- Provide additional 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
- Support pupils with additional GCSE support
- Attend parents’ evenings when required
The successful Maths Teacher must:
- Support students with the transition of the next stage of their education or training
- Have previous experience working in a secondary school, in particular GCSE level
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
- Have strong resilience and patience
- Be a great team-player and form good relationships within the school environment
- Good classroom and behaviour management
