We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join one of our SEND schools in Birmingham to inspire their students to achieve their physical and personal best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Teach a variety of physical activities, including team sports, individual fitness activities, and health education.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate physical education curriculum in alignment with state/national standards.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe environment that encourages student participation and physical well-being.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' physical progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and school administration.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities, including after-school programs, sports clubs, and school competitions.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, used properly, and safely.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance the PE program and student experience.
  • Participate in school-wide events and professional development opportunities to stay updated with current PE trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a PE Teacher or in a related role.
  • Worked with students with SEN
  • Strong knowledge of physical education curriculum and current trends in fitness education.
  • Ability to engage students of all ages and skill levels in physical activities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Passion for promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
