A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified English Teacher to join a secondary school in Duddeston, Birmingham.
'An enhanced DBS on the update service is required for this role.'
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons to secondary school pupils.
- Planning and preparing engaging and differentiated learning materials for Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Assessing pupil progress and providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school where possible.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience of teaching English within a UK secondary school setting.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Strong subject knowledge of the English curriculum.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil progress.
- A valid safeguarding certificate (or willing to complete one).
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience of teaching GCSE English.
- Experience of using a range of teaching and learning strategies, including ICT.
