Do you have the commitment and positivity to contribute to Broadway's values-driven ethos, the drive to promote high expectations for students and the ability to teach RE at all key stages and lead on KS5?Broadway Academy Trust has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted for 14 years and is constantly striving for excellence.The Department* The Humanities Directorate is a supportive and dedicated department staffed by a small and cohesive team who work together to achieve excellent outcomes for students.* The department comprises RE, History and Geography at key stages 3 and 4, and RE, Criminology, Law, Psychology and Sociology in the sixth form.* The vision of the department in developing the curriculum has been recognised by the Bernice McCabe award for curriculum design and the Princes Teaching Institute centre of excellence quality mark. * The Directorate is at the forefront of the Academy's co-curricular offer and runs a wide range of trips to enhance student understanding of individual subjects, as well as improve students' life experiences.The RoleWe are looking for an RE teacher who:* has excellent subject knowledge in Religious Education at all key stages* is experienced in teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5* is an enthusiastic teacher and able to engage and motivate pupils to reach beyond their potential plans and delivers outstanding lessons* will mark, feedback and report on assessments within RE with a focus on improving students through success* is willing to contribute to the award-winning RE curriculums at Broadway and continually develop their subject and pedagogical knowledge* will actively contribute to department meetings and build strong relationships with others* (TLR focus) can lead on and be responsible for KS5 RE* (TLR focus) has the drive and initiative to promote and increase RE A Level uptakeWhy you should join usYou will get a real opportunity to make a difference within a school which encourages students and staff to be aspirational.
