An outstanding grammar school in north Birmingham are seeking a Learning Support Assistant for November 2024 for a one year contract role intially. This is a full time position.

This grammar school allows children to develop at their own pace and fulfil their potential in whatever area(s) of school life that might be. Pupils' successes are the result of the staff's hard work to allow an individual's confidence to develop and their own unique qualities to shine. The Head is keen for the school to create a thirst for learning, which cannot happen from the classroom environment alone, moreover by offering a diverse curriculum and enhanced extra-curricular opportunities, children find success not just academically, but in music, sports, DT and the Arts. Pupils are part of a school community that cares for each other and allows each member to grow as an individual. There is a love of learning instilled within the pupils and the aim is for pupils to aspire to be leaders in all walks of life.

The Head is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and caring person who will provide one to one support. The successful candidate will assist in a range of support activities in relation to individuals' needs, safeguarding, care, health and well-being of the pupil to ensure a safe and secure environment. You must have experience of working with children and helping children who need support to achieve their best at school. You will have a level 2 or level 3 qualification. You will also have experience of working with SEND students in particular those with an Autism diagnosis.
