  • Providing 1:1 support for children with moderate learning needs in Key Stage 1.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons to meet the needs of individual pupils.

  • Encouraging children to build confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Monitoring and recording progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Building positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in Key Stage 1 or with SEND pupils.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A valid DBS check on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
