An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Passive Fire Protection client as a Fire Safety Surveyor working in the Midlands region.
Role responsibilities
- Conducting thorough fire compartmentation and Fire Door surveys across a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, and industrial.
- Identifying and assessing fire-stopping issues, breaches in fire barriers, and compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Preparing detailed reports, including recommendations for remediation and ensuring all work meets current fire safety standards.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and project managers to communicate findings and provide expert guidance on fire compartmentation solutions.
- Ensuring all surveys are completed in line with current fire safety regulations and building codes.
About you
- Experience in compartmentation and fire door surveying is essential for this role.
- Proven experience in fire compartmentation surveys and knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., BS 9999, BS 9991, etc.).
- Familiar with survey recording software/apps/ systems such as OneTrace, Boris, Bolster etc.
- Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, fire doors, and fire-stopping materials.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for report writing and client interaction.
- Full UK driving license
