  • We are looking for 2 Senior Support Workers for a children's residential home in Acocks Green with a shift pattern of 7 days on from 7:30 am to 10 pm, followed by 2 days off and 5 sleep-ins per month from 11 pm to 8 am.
  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or an equivalent.

  • The role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

We are urgently seeking 2 Senior Support workers for a children residential home/Supported accommodation based in Acocks Green.

Shift pattern as follows.

7 days on 7.30am-10pm

2 days off

5 sleep-ins per month 11pm-8am

This role will require the successful candidates to have the following credentials.

  • To be responsible to the Registered manager, for the day-to-day duties within the home and the care and support of the residents.
  • To implement and follow the home's operational policies, and the care practice standards.
  • To be the lead person on shift responsible for the safety and support of the young people in the home.
  • To provide and ensure that care is within a warm and supportive atmosphere.
  • To implement individual care plans so as to ensure the welfare of each individual resident. To ensure that the needs of each individual resident are met by contributing to the assessment of the needs of each resident and the planning of care plans and support, to meet those needs. To also participate in client reviews and prepare reports.
  • To contribute to records regarding individual residents and to ensure client confidentiality in record keeping and discussions concerning residents.
  • To enable residents to live a full and active life, planning and arranging social and recreational activities within the home and in the local community and to contribute to the organising of holidays as appropriate, to offer residents the opportunity to live as normal a life as possible.
  • Experience with challenging behaviour.
  • Level 3 in Health and social care or Residential or equivalent.
