A Day in the Life of a CPN:

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse working within a dynamic Crisis Team. This role is perfect for professionals with psychiatric liaison or urgent care experience. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting urgent mental health assessments in the community or emergency departments

  • Providing crisis intervention and risk management

  • Coordinating care and signposting to appropriate services

  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, including A&E, social services, and GPs

  • Supporting service users through acute episodes and facilitating early discharge

  • Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation in line with clinical standards

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Current and valid NMC registration and PIN

  • Essential: Experience in psychiatric liaison or mental health crisis settings

  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills

  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a full-time position with long-day shifts (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM) across Monday to Sunday. The contract is ongoing for 3 months, with high potential for extension based on service need.
