Your new companyThis company is an established charity that provides a range of specialist abuse support services to women, men and children across the West Midlands region. Their holistic, trauma informed support enables victims to escape violence and abuse, cope with trauma and build resilience.Your new roleYou will work under the community services directorate and be responsible for managing a caseload of high risk domestic abuse victims experiencing stalking and/or harassment. You will support victims through evidence based methods in order to identify risk, stalker typology and support needs. You will be providing practical guidance and safety advice, referring to relevant external agencies where required and advocating on their behalf as part of the MARAC process. You may also have some involvement in promoting campaigns, events and training, raising awareness in the local area around stalking and harassment.What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of managing a caseload of vulnerable individuals.
  • Experience of managing complex casework, including issues such as child abuse, mental health, substance abuse, working with trauma in adults and children and crisis intervention.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and children, acknowledging safeguarding concerns and responding appropriately.
  • Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of abuse and their children.
  • Have knowledge of complex needs, including problematic substance use, mental health issues and harm reducing interventions.
  • Knowledge of the Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy and the gendered nature of violence. Have knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice requirements, particularly in safeguarding children and adults and cultural diversity.
  • Due to the nature of this role, we can only accept female applicants.
