Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive secondary school? This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school in Smethwick is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work closely with students who require additional support in their learning.This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young people, working within a welcoming and inclusive school environment. You will be supporting students on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups, helping them to engage with their learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential. Strong behaviour management and communication skills are essential for this role.Job Role:
  • Supporting students across Key Stages 3 & 4 in their learning and development.
  • Providing 1-2-1 and small group support, ensuring students remain engaged in lessons.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Helping students with additional learning needs, including SEND and EAL pupils.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional well-being.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams to provide tailored support.
