Key ResponsibilitiesSEN Teachers:
- Design and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans tailored to meet diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student confidence and growth.
- Track and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with therapists, external agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support.
- Provide focused support to students with special needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech or language difficulties.
- Assist in delivering tailored educational interventions under the teachers guidance.
- Support students in managing their emotions, behavior, and social interactions.
- Prepare resources and adapt learning materials to suit individual needs.
- Ensure the classroom is a safe, welcoming space for all learners.
Essential Attributes:
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, or significant SEN experience.
- Experience supporting children with SEN in educational or care environments is a requirement
