SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a qualified teaching assistant? Do you have experience working with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SLCN)?

Long Term Futures are searching for a caring and patient SEN Teaching Assistant working with one of our schools in the Hawkesley (B38) area.

The role is a 1:1 role based with a Year 2 child who has been diagnosed with ASD and ADHD with SLCN (Speech Language Communication Needs). You will be working alongside a supportive team of Teaching assistants and teacher. The role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become a permanent position at the school.

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Level 2/3 supporting teaching and learning in schools or relevant qualification required.
  • Strong experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis.
  • Have experience of supporting SEN (ASD, ADHD, Speech, Language & Communication needs)
  • A good team player be able to work with other staff and under direction of class teacher.
  • 1 Years experience working in a school environment with SEN.
  • Knowledge of the UK EYFS/KS1 primary curriculum.
