2:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Old Oscott, B44, Birmingham
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Pay Rate: 370 - 420 per week
Start Date: April 2025
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? We are looking for a committed 2:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support two children in Year 2 at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Old Oscott, B44. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Your Role:
- Provide tailored 2:1 support for two children with SEN, ensuring their academic and emotional development.
- Assist in delivering engaging lessons and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning strategies.
- Support children with communication, social interaction, and sensory needs.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with personal care if require
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive approach.
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and child development.
