SEN Teaching Assistant - Resource Base Support | Ladywood, Birmingham (B16) | Full-Time | May 2025 Start

Pay: 400-440 take-home per week (after deductions)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: May 2025
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Are you a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a meaningful role? A welcoming mainstream primary school in Ladywood (B16) is seeking a full-time SEN TA to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2 within their on-site resource base, starting May 2025.

You'll be working with a small group of pupils who have a range of additional needs, including physical disabilities, communication difficulties, and social/emotional needs. The role includes 1:1 and small group mentoring, support in class, and tailored interventions within the resource base.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring within the resource base

  • Support pupils with physical and communication needs

  • Encourage engagement, independence and emotional regulation

  • Assist with personal care or mobility where required

  • Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to track progress

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, physical disabilities, SLCN)

  • Confidence supporting pupils in both classroom and resource base settings

  • A caring, calm and flexible approach

  • Full-time availability from May 2025
