Winner Education are thrilled to be recruiting a Teaching Assistant for an SEN School based in Birmingham. Applicants must be readily available due to the urgency of the position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Be actively involved in daily routines of classes, groups or individual learners
- Deliver, monitor and record pupil educational programmes, both inside and outside of the classroom
- Support the class teacher in tailoring lesson planning to deliver to the pupil
- Prepare materials and resources for lessons
- Assist in creating a stimulating learning environment for all learners
- Provide a high standard of physical and emotional care
- Attend staff meetings
- Support the transition of learners into school environment
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
- Be patient in dealing with children with learning difficulties, poor language skills and challenging behaviour patterns
- Demonstrate initiative
- Ability to work co-operatively with all teaching staff and LSA’s
- Liaise with medical staff to meet the needs of the pupils
- Have previous experience working with KS4 and KS5 children
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
