Are you dedicated to supporting students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Speech & Language Difficulties to unlock their full potential? We are seeking a teacher who can demonstrate they can deliver good to outstanding lessons and who is passionate about quality SEN education.

Tradewind are working with a primary special school for pupils with cognition and communication difficulties with a number of pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities:

Create engaging and accessible learning activities that promote cognitive, social, and physical development.

Utilise specialised instructional strategies and assistive technologies to support communication, mobility, and sensory integration.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, caregivers, and support staff, to ensure holistic care and education for students.

Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace.

Requirements:

QTS or equivalent

Experience working with students with SLD and Speech & Language Difficulties.

A genuine passion for special education and the desire to support young learners in achieving their best.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and fellow educators.

Patience, empathy, and understanding in providing support to children with diverse needs.
