We are currently recruiting for a Specialist Independent School in Wolverhampton, providing a unique blend of academic and therapeutic education for students aged 5-19 with additional social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school focuses ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive academically, develop social skills, build emotional resilience, and acquire essential life skills.

The Role:

We are seeking a Class Teacher to join their committed team. This role will be a full-time, long-term position. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the students, fostering a love for learning and discovery.

Key Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of students with additional needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring that each student's unique needs are met.
  • Support students in developing vital life skills alongside academic achievements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching, preferably within a special education setting.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges and needs of students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
