Speech and Language Therapist - Adults

If you are a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the inpatient team in a hospital in Birmingham.

The Speech and Language Therapist will be supporting the acute and stroke Speech and language Therapy services with acute assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders.

Must be trained in dysphagia.

Salary: £27/h (Day shifts)

What you'll need as a Speech Language Therapist - Adults:

  • Highly specialist knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent qualifications, including further theoretical training and experience to Master's level equivalent in required speciality
  • Continued Professional Development evidenced by attendance at short specialist postgraduate courses to maintain and develop own specialist knowledge and expertise.
  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent (Post Graduate Diploma or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy leading to registration with HCPC)
  • HCPC Licence to Practice, Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, Membership of relevant CEN
  • 6 months of paid patient facing UK nursing experience from within the past 3 years
  • Up-to-date clinical best practice knowledge
  • The right to work in the UK
