A fantastic opportunity for a Category Procurement Specialist to join a public sector organisation. This is a largely remote role with one day per month in Stockport, Birmingham or London.

Description

End to end delivery of assigned procurement projects and or work streams. Working simultaneously and across multiple customer accounts in line with the latest public procurement regulations.

Develop good working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, quickly building rapport and seeking support from category leads, and other category specialist & managers as required.

Support the development and implementation of category plans and implement generate savings and efficiency.

To utilise procurement systems and methodologies to support the delivery of procurement processes.

As a member of the category group, support the category activities and add to the knowledge sharing, product developments, best practice delivery and innovation.

Profile

  • Experience running end to end procurement processes & knowledge of best practice.
  • Experience with tenders.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations.
  • Understanding of a procurement category plan.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with stakeholders.
