Salary: 80,000 - 90,000 per annum +car allowance + package
Contract Type: Permanent

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining the highest industry standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to key projects and influence business growth through strategic estimating and bid management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and competitive tenders for civil engineering and groundworks projects.
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to develop accurate pricing structures.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and ensure cost efficiency.
- Identify potential project risks and opportunities to optimise commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate with the pre-construction team, project managers, and commercial teams to develop winning strategies.
- Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to senior management and clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, industry regulations, and cost fluctuations.
- Ensure all tenders and estimates comply with company policies and industry best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the civils and groundworks sector.
- Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of groundworks, infrastructure, and civil engineering projects.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
