Are you an experienced Senior Estimator looking for an exciting opportunity with a leading civil engineering and rail contractor? We are working with a well-established, award-winning business that is expanding its team in Birmingham.
The Role:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for rail and civil engineering projects, ensuring competitive yet profitable tenders. You will work closely with the pre-construction team, supply chain, and clients to develop winning bids and secure new work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and rail projects.
- Assessing project risks and opportunities.
- Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
- Working collaboratively with the bid team to develop successful tender strategies.
- Presenting cost breakdowns and reports to senior management.
About You:
- Strong experience in estimating within the civil engineering or rail sector.
- Proven track record of successfully pricing infrastructure projects.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
