Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing complex transport planning projects with the support of Directors and the Transport team
  • Providing consultancy advice that demonstrates a sound understanding of client requirements
  • Delivering projects that balance competing stakeholder interests
  • Leading the development and delivery of transport planning projects
  • Ensuring effective resource management in project execution


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in transport planning within a private consultancy or local authority environment
  • Understanding of transport planning policy and project delivery
  • Experience with Transport Statements, Assessments, and Travel Plans
  • Familiarity with access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, S106 and S278 agreements, NPPF, DfT guidelines, and Manual for Streets
  • Proficiency in using the TRICS database
  • Experience with PICADY and ARCADY
  • Understanding of LINSIG for different modelling scenarios
  • Knowledge of micro-simulation and strategic models/modelling
  • Junction design skills including priority, roundabout, and signals
  • Degree in a related subject (a master's degree in transport is desirable)
